The 1Utama COVID Incident

On the 11th of Oct 2020, 1 Utama Shopping Center entered a lockdown due to spreading of COVID19 cases from retail department store Parkson and Apple Mac Service center as reported by the News Strait Times.  Every single staff from its 800 tenants underwent mandatory testing, resulting in identifying 63 cases, with the Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia dubbing it as the 1 Utama cluster, as mentioned by the News Strait Times.  However after determining that the rest of the staff are safe, 1 Utama has reopened its doors on the 17th of Oct 2020.

Ergoland operating in CMCO

As for us here in 1Utama Ergoland, we're back! Sort of. Good news, none of our staff have been infected, in part due to our SOP as well. Ever since the 1 Utama Shopping Centre closure has been lifted, we are back in operations, from 10am-8pm everyday while CMCO is in affect.

We know this is a scary time for everyone involved, but here at Ergoland we do take this very seriously, and reassure customers who have visited our store or are considering to visit.

  • Our staff are temperature checked in the store and recorded
  • We sanitize the chairs, tables, and any product after each visitor handles them
  • Our delivery drivers are temperature checked each day before they start their delivery runs, you can even request temperature cards from them

If you are however still skeptical of going out in public in general, reach out to us on FB Messenger, Instagram, or even on our website! We can always arrange a phonecall or a video demonstration of our products should you be interested in outfitting your home for another round of lockdown.
